Obama outraises McCain – in Arizona
As if only holding a slim 3-point lead in his homestate of Arizona wasn’t bad enough, McCain is waking up this morning to another bitter pill.
Obama raised more money in Arizona last month than John McCain, and is only $600,000 behind him on total cash raised in Arizona this year.
Barack Obama quietly raised more money in Arizona last month for his presidential campaign than John McCain did, and the Illinois Democrat dominates the overall fundraising map in 43 states and Washington, D.C., records show.
And the donations? They averaged less than half the size of an average gift to McCain.
[Obama's] average contribution for June in Arizona was $115. McCain’s Arizona donors averaged $241. In his home state of Illinois, Obama has raised more than $20 million. McCain has raised $3.7 million there.
Raising more money from more people in McCain’s backyard. While Sen. Obama may not win Arizona, it’s a helluva talking point his campaign.

I still think we are under-estimating the chasm that is the “enthusiasm gap”
