Obama vs. the other guy, 2008

Powerful Video: Israelis For Obama

As some of you may know, I’m a dual-citizen of both America and Israel, and proud of both of my countries, even if we do make mistakes. One of the more frustrating things about living in America is hearing the misperceptions about Israeli public opinion as if it isn’t as diverse and varied as opinion in America or many other Democracies. Most worrisome is the false notion that Israelis are uniformly supportive of McCain and not of Obama.

Well, I just saw this video and I have to saw I found it personally to be one of the most hopeful and inspiring videos I’ve ever seen. Perhaps I’m a sucker, but I couldn’t resist it. If any of you have any Jewish friends or family on the fence about this election, please forward this video on:

George Will Blasts John McCain

Toss another one into “The Tank”, as George Will goes medieval on John McCain:

Channeling his inner Queen of Hearts, John McCain furiously, and apparently without even looking around at facts, said Chris Cox, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, should be decapitated. This childish reflex provoked the Wall Street Journal to editorialize that “McCain untethered” — disconnected from knowledge and principle — had made a “false and deeply unfair” attack on Cox that was “unpresidential” and demonstrated that McCain “doesn’t understand what’s happening on Wall Street any better than Barack Obama does.”

To read the Journal’s details about the depths of McCain’s shallowness on the subject of Cox’s chairmanship, see “McCain’s Scapegoat” (Sept. 19, Page A22). Then consider McCain’s characteristic accusation that Cox “has betrayed the public’s trust.”

A prominent conservative like Will using terms such as “childish” and “shallowness” to describe John McCain should be a wake-up call to his campaign. But I suspect their campaign is too busy conducting their media jihad to notice. Or care.
