Obama vs. the other guy, 2008

Obama Launches ANOTHER Energy Attack Ad

I’m starting to like what I see. Coming off the heels of yesterday’s energy attack ad, here’s one which I think in some ways is even stronger:

This one doesn’t use the ominous music that so many attack ads do, but takes you in with a softer sound. Then it launches into an attack on McCain for being in Washington for 26 years, voting against alternative energy and higher gas standards. It’s a very stark reminder of who is the long-time Washington insider, and who is the frsh face of change. NOTE: I’ll get the transcript as soon as available.

There’s still a lot more work to do, and I think there could be a simpler way to define McCain, but at least now Obama is investing in advertising that pushes back against McCain, and particularly on the energy issue – one which McCain has been bludgeoning Obama with.

Obama team: good job, remember now, every single ad, every single release, every single speech has to include a defining attack on McCain and his miserable record.

  1. good job, put the ad could be more pointed. What the Obama campaign should be saying is ‘ John McCain doesn’t feel your pain. John McCain admits he doesn’t know much about the economy. John McCain calls ” Americans a nation of Whinners. ”

  2. We need more ads like this, hitting McBush on his record. link him to Bush fail policies. Every speech should have McCain and Bush handcuff together it’s very effective. Whenever I hear Bush’s name it makes me go crazy!!!!
