Obama vs. the other guy, 2008

Obama Owns Idiot Heckler in Ohio

When will these idiot hecklers at Obama town-halls realize that they are only doing him a favor. After getting disrupted by hecklers last week for not focusing on Black issues (even though he has repeatedly), the hecklers were at it again today. Too bad for this moron, Obama thoroughly owned his disruptive ass, and gets a favorable headline in the process.

Cleveland Plain Dealer:

Obama unfazed by heckler

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama came to Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea Tuesday afternoon to talk about his energy policies, as he had earlier in the day in Youngstown.

But before he could delve into the topic, a man in the press photo gallery interrupted him, shouting complaints that the Illinois senator had not started the program with the Pledge of Allegiance. Many in the packed gymnasium murmured and some booed the disruption, but Obama took the heckler in stride and asked him to lead the pledge.

The crowd rose to its feet, Obama placed his hand over his heart and everyone recited the pledge. Obama thanked the man, who was not removed by campaign staff, and returned to his speech.

Once again, Obama displays grace. Unlike John McCain, who likes to remove black reporters from his events because…well, they haven’t come up with an answer for why they removed him. I’m beginning to think that Obama should have a town-hall or two with McCain. Perhaps McCain will get desperate and offer up audience members to pose in Playboy.

  1. This was a true backfire for whoever this idiot was. Glad someone got video of him making a jackass out of himself.

Only concern I have is how this nutto ended up with a press pass. Seriously.

  2. I think Obama needs to have a heckler section at his upcoming townhalls.

Those fools make him look good.

  6. This guy is your typical, simple-minded, fascist nut who deems saluting the flag is the apogee of patriotism. He’s an example of a guy who gets all worked up and then sends e-mails about the flag missing on Obama’s plane. The guy would be pathetic if he weren’t so darn scary. There are tons of these characters out there defaming Obama in their blogs with their self righteous, morally superior rage. As usual, Obama added the right touch by not making a big deal over the issue and moving on.
