Obama vs. the other guy, 2008

Sarah Palin Compliments Obama on Energy

Considering that the McCain camp trotted out a bunch of (old) quotes of Democrats complimenting McCain, here is a nice quote the Obama Camp could use in an ad:

“I am pleased to see Senator Obama acknowledge the huge potential Alaska’s natural gas reserves represent in terms of clean energy and sound jobs,” Palin says in the release. “The steps taken by the Alaska State Legislature this past week demonstrate that we are ready, willing and able to supply the energy our nation needs.”

Governor Palin also acknowledged the Senator’s proposal to offer $1,000 rebates to those struggling with the high cost of energy.

“We in Alaska feel that crunch and are taking steps to address it right here at home,” Governor Palin said. “This is a tool that must be on the table to buy us time until our long-term energy plans can be put into place. We have already enjoyed the support of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, and it is gratifying to see Senator Obama get on board.”

Here is a link to the full press release, but for some reason the link isn’t working. In any case, this is a great quote for Obama to use. Having the vice-president give such fulsome praise to Obama’s energy policy is just a no-brainer as far as getting an ad out using this. What’s good for the goose…

  1. You have to admit that Sarah Palin is pretty hot (remember she was in the Ms. Alaska Pageant) and MUCH BETTER on the eyes than Joe Biden. Oh and wait until you see the bikini pics!!! NOT BAD for a mother of 5.

  2. If the feminists that love Hilary see this pick, they would definitely not vote for this ticket. Talk about style over substance.

Now, the Obama campaign has to be careful in not diminishing her – they just have to keep it on record and let the McCain camp hang themselves. In fact, they need to have surrogates get asked, well, “what do you think of Sarah Palin as a VP pick?” and laugh a little and ask “Sarah Palin? Who is she? People keep saying that they don’t know Obama while also saying they’re sick of seeing him on TV. Well, who is Sarah Palin and what has she done? How is she ready to step in and take care of the most pressing issues, two wars, an emboldened Russia? Has she even been to Iraq? Should we start a clock on when she’s going to visit that part of the world?”

  3. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz was great this morning. It should be the female supporters who primarily lead this charge. A nice statement for Hillary would help too.

  4. No, no. Don’t focus on the female thing at all. Just ask, could you trust her to secure our future? Obama has worked on getting nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists. What has she done? NOTHING

  5. I would NOT compliment Obama on anything – Obama is the most dishonest politician I have ever witnessed:

You are the first candidate the U.S. has had in a long time that has continued to spread false information from the first time you hit the campaign trail.

I find your technique one of the most offensive I have ever experienced. I find your ethics are on the border of being unethical and your manipulation of the facts most disgusting.

It is common knowledge that the media will always press United States citizens to vote for the candidate who offers them the biggest kick-backs, pay-backs, and over-all “favors”. That is you, Obama.

Then look at your over all personas: Your stance, the way you hold your head, your gestures, the clothes you wear, the pronouns and adjectives you use. Everything about you is the personification of an individual, who does NOT, let me repeat DOES NOT, have the United States citizens interests’ at heart. You are an elitist and the persona I just described is living proof — your entire appearance is proof — FACT — of what I say.

Okay – now let’s talk about education. You have a law degree but did not practice law. Why? Readers – look this one up and you will see why. And, the result is not a positive one.

Then there is the community organizer work you undertook in the state of Illinois. That, too, has been overstated and turned into something “positive” that it in fact was NOT. Dear readers – check this one out yourself as there are many Illinois citizens who will tell you the “truth.”

My education – NOBAMA – is equal to or greater than your education. I do have the same ability as you to influence U.S. Citizens: And I certainly am taking the opportunity to exploit you for what you truly are.

You see I am an educator, who works for a famous “Research One” institution, who has the ability to write Journal Articles that all college students will use for research. The true facts about you will come out and in a place that will most definitely do the most good – to influence voters “young voters” on how to spot an individual who does not represent the United States in the capacity as he states he will. Make no mistake, Obama, people will definitely know the subject of the Journal Articles is referencing you and your 2008 Presidential campaign.

See you in “honest” fact-finding print.
