Obama vs. the other guy, 2008

Obama Made a Small Mistake This Morning

This morning on CNN, Anderson Cooper asked Barack Obama on how his experience dealing with natural disasters compares with the experience of Sarah Palin as governor and Mayor of Wasilla. Obama responded:

“My understanding is that Gov. Palin’s town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We’ve got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million dollars a year – we have a budget of about three times that just for the month,” Obama responded.

Our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the past couple of years and certainly in terms of the legislation I’ve passed in the past couple of years, post-Katrina.”

Mistake. Americans already believe Obama is ready to lead, and the convention certainly cemented that. Additionally, it’s becoming increasingly clear Sarah Palin isn’t ready to lead, and it’s apparent what that says about John McCain. Obama does NOT need to get down in the weeds comparing his experience with McCain’s VICE PRESIDENTIAL choice.

What he should do is laugh at the question, and say “The American people can judge who’s ready to lead. I’ll put my qualifications up against anyone. And, by the way, I’m thrilled with my choice of VP, Joe Biden, who would be ready to step in at a moment’s notice.”

Next time, Barack, avoid the question and laugh it off.

  1. Exactly. When I heard that, I thought that was kind of silly, and only served to draw attention back to Obama. The attention now needs to be on Palin.

  2. IMO – Sarah Palin’s record speaks for itself. Nothing more needs to be said about it. Actions always speak louder than words.

  3. I do have to agree with you on this.

  4. Completely agreed. Leave the minutae to surrogates, but in this case it’s unnecessary to respond, other than by lauding your great VP pick, Biden.

  5. Disagree entirely…the candidate should not laugh at comparisons…that only makes the candidate look egotistical. He could ignore the matter, but I think this quick series of facts clearly, succintly, and sincerely dispells what is clearly a moronic argument; that Palin’s executive experience is somehow superior to Obama’s. It’s worth pointing out the the totally uninitiated that Obama has been running a giant operation that has been continuously vetted for competency and integrity for over two years. Never mind his history as a constituent-based advocate and an education that was hard won and seriously pursued. I dread to imagine what Palin’s college years were consumed with…

  6. And another example of Obama’s ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING.

I do not think the United States is in a position to elect an individual whose only executive, international, war, economic, health care, and tax reforms has come from ON-THEP-JOB-TRAINING while he was actually running for the presidency. How disgusting.

    Obama,

You are the first candidate the U.S. has had in a long time that has continued to spread false information from the first time you hit the campaign trail.

I find your technique one of the most offensive I have ever experienced. I find your ethics are on the border of being unethical and your manipulation of the facts most disgusting.

It is common knowledge that the media will always press United States citizens to vote for the candidate who offers them the biggest kick-backs, pay-backs, and over-all “favors”. That is you, Obama.

Then look at your over all personas: Your stance, the way you hold your head, your gestures, the clothes you wear, the pronouns and adjectives you use. Everything about you is the personification of an individual, who does NOT, let me repeat DOES NOT, have the United States citizens interests’ at heart. You are an elitist and the persona I just described is living proof — your entire appearance is proof — FACT — of what I say.

Okay – now let’s talk about education. You have a law degree but did not practice law. Why? Readers – look this one up and you will see why. And, the result is not a positive one.

Then there is the community organizer work you undertook in the state of Illinois. That, too, has been overstated and turned into something “positive” that it in fact was NOT. Dear readers – check this one out yourself as there are many Illinois citizens who will tell you the “truth.”

My education – NOBAMA – is equal to or greater than your education. I do have the same ability as you to influence U.S. Citizens: And I certainly am taking the opportunity to exploit you for what you truly are.

You see I am an educator, who works for a famous “Research One” institution, who has the ability to write Journal Articles that all college students will use for research. The true facts about you will come out and in a place that will most definitely do the most good – to influence voters “young voters” on how to spot an individual who does not represent the United States in the capacity as he states he will. Make no mistake, Obama, people will definitely know the subject of the Journal Articles is referencing you and your 2008 Presidential campaign.

See you in “honest” fact-finding print.
