Obama vs. the other guy, 2008

527s Right On Target Against McCain

From Defenders Of Wildlife:

From Planned Parenthood:

“Every eight minutes a child is sexually abused,” the narrator says. “That’s why Barack Obama supported legislation to teach children how to protect themselves. Now John McCain is twisting the facts and attacking Senator Obama. Doesn’t McCain want our children to protect ourselves from sex offenders? Or after 26 years in Washington, is he just another politician who will say anything to get elected?”

  1. Good – one mistake of Obama’s team was pulling out the 527s from the mix. Two months is late, but not too late. Glad to see them back.

  2. Yeah, I’m glad the 527s are coming in as the cavalry. The production values on the Defenders of Wildlife ad are excellent. At the end, you’re left thinking, what a heartless bitch.

  3. Somebody also needs to do an ad on McCain’s views on mayors and governors a few short months ago when he was running in the primaries, and contrast it with what he’s trying to sell us now.

    McCain on Romney and Guiliani:
Back in October 2007, when McCain’s candidacy still appeared dead and buried, the Senator berated the two Republican front runners for lacking the necessary political experience to handle commander in chief responsibilities.

“I have had a strong and a long relationship on national security, I’ve been involved in every national crisis that this nation has faced since Beirut, I understand the issues, I understand and appreciate the enormity of the challenge we face from radical Islamic extremism,” the Senator declared. “I am prepared. I am prepared. I need no on-the-job training. I wasn’t a mayor for a short period of time. I wasn’t a governor for a short period of time.”

Fast forward to September 2008, and McCain on Palin:

“I’m so proud that she has displayed the kind of judgment and she has the experience and judgment as an executive… She’s been commander in chief of the Alaska National Guard … she’s had judgment on these issues. She’s had 12 years of elected office experience, including traveling to Kuwait, including being involved in these issues. I’m so proud she has the experience and judgment as an executive.”

I guess you’d have to call him twist-mouth McCain

  4. The difference between these ads and a negative ads coming from McCain is the validity of the charges. I was amazed that McCain would even link Obama to a bill promoting sex ed for youngsters, when he new darn well the bill was to protect children and help them understand the difference between a good touch and a bad touch. I’m not a parent and have no experience rearing children, but I would rather that enforcement in schools than none at all. That is called a partnership between teachers and parents to protect children. Thank the heaven’s above for Planned Parenthood!!

The vegans and vegetarians and especially animal lovers will start to shutter if they are watching that ad concerning aerial killing of wolves. I’m not a hunter, but hunting should be done on equal terms.

I’m waiting for Obama to highlight Biden’s support of rape kits being available to women who are abused and how McCain and Palin think it is the victim’s responsibility to pay for it. Just waiting for that ad…It should be coming anytime.

Also an ad for equal pay for equal work for women and payed family emergency off for women….Just waiting…

Also, NAFTA NAFTA NAFTA NAFTA ads in OH, MI, PA,…Come on Obama..Roll out these wonderful policies that you have that are in contrast to McCain’s….
