Obama vs. the other guy, 2008

Devastating Ad Against McCain’s LIES

Here’s a spectacular ad from BraveNewPac:

This one has over 416,480 views, as VirginiaDem points out over in her diary at Dailykos. And it’s a great ad, and we DO need to help it go virally. So, let’s e-mail the hell out of this one, folks, and DIGG IT!!!!

  1. here’s what I want to know: There seem to be two camps. One thinks Obama is blowing it; another thinks they are well under control and instead of complaining you should get busy.

If everything is control, why isn’t the netroots feeling it?

  2. I do think that there was a weakening in their media strategy, which caused the netroots to be worried, and the NYT said the Obama campaign was adjusting its media strategy. However, I really haven’t seen that yet.

  4. Not all that impressed by this video but it’s better than nothing. I really don’t think it has what it takes to go viral. I think viral happens on its own.

To the question of momentum, I’m fine with the polls as they are now. I think McCain has hit a high water mark and recent polls show a trend back toward Obama. I like McCain being seen as being ahead since he’s now catching all the media fire- it’s now about him instead of about Obama. Frankly, people were getting a little sick of Obama and they are rightly curious about the new person. However, the meme is cementing firmly that the GOP ticket are constantly lying, pandering and distorting. I think we could see serious slippage over the next weak in McCain-Palin’s numbers. Not to mention that McCain’s recent poll strength is built mostly on reddening of his solid red territory. I”ll be worried only if the GOP numbers keep rising. I think we have a lot of people who don’t understand the Repubs nominated the only guy that could win for them and he made a good move stomping on Obama’s convention bounce. I still like where we are but I also want to see some serious offensive action to make sure the numbers turn around- by the way, I think the “lipstick” move was calculated to halt McCain’s momentum and I think it worked like a charm.
