Obama vs. the other guy, 2008

A Prediction

We’re going to see a series of advertisements from the McCain camp that feature John McCain sitting in a chair and speaking to the camera directly about the crisis and how “he knows how” to solve it. It will be full of courage and patriotic language and talk about how he’s given his whole life for his country.

McCain is extremely sensitive to criticism and the Ayers attacks weren’t working. So having heard the need for more “positive” vision, watch for his new ads to not mention Obama but instead focus on McCain speaking to the camera and trying to connect with the working class.

Just a prediction.

  1. John McCain and the republicans tried very hard to invest our country’s Social Security money in the stock market just recently. That shows how flawed his judgement is.

  2. Well, sure. He knows how to get Osama too. If he knows so much, why doesn’t he just go ahead and do it instead of running his mouth? I thought he was the man of action not words. All we get are endless empty promises.

If you like this sort of stuff, I have a secret plan to end the war in Vietnam to sell you too. I would tell you all about it, but I don’t want to telegraph my punches.

  3. McCain says, “We’ve got them just where we want them.”
Is he serious? Is there anyone in his party–heck is there anyone in his own campaign–that truly believes this? Even the hate mongers at McCain/Palin rallies won’t go so far as to say McCain will win. They spout plenty of nonsense about Obama, yet I’ve not heard a single one take it that one step further to say McCain will win.

  4. You mean like Obama’s ads? Ha! I guess if everything you’ve tried doesn’t work, then copy your opponent’s strategy!

Personally, it doesn’t matter what he says, or Palin for that matter. They’re sunk.

  5. I’m sorry but this blog is just butt ugly. Can you change it so it’s easier to read? Thanks.

  6. Just got an e-mail from David Plouffe with video showing McCain ads running in battlegroung states and they are beyond outrageous. McCain is sending the signal that he is above all this garbage while continuing to run a destruction campaign.

We are in for the fight of our lives. All the evil forces in this country are gearing up using fear to make sure Obama never gets to the whitehouse. This is getting really scary.

We need to do all we can, work even harder (as if we were 10 points behind) to compensate for all the bigots and ignorant angry low information voters.

Early voting should help us. In Texas, it starts Monday 10/20.

  7. The media is starting to call it for Obama. That’s VERY dangerous as it brings down turnout. This is still a fight, and Obama has to say that from here until November 4th.

  9. What has this guy been doing for 26 years? He knows how to solve everything but refused to share?
