Here’s to the State of Alaska
Given Alaskan voters’ willingness to send a convicted felon and his pork-filled buddy back to Congress, I’m thinking maybe we should give Todd Palin and his AIP buddies their wish and say, “Good riddance.”
Just For Fun: Palin Spending Spree MUCH WORSE Than Thought
Okay – a little bit of levity on this historic day. Here’s a story that will get you smiling: Newsweek reports that Sarah Palin’s infamous spending sprees on clothing (something she blamed on the campaign), were MUCH WORSE than previously anticipated. Yes, that’s right, much worse than $150,000:
NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin’s shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain’s top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy.
How outrageous was this profligacy? Well, take a look at this:
But Was He Able to Win White Suburban Women?
Just kidding. Congratulations to President Obama!
May the Force be with CNN
I can’t decide if this is hilarious or ridiculous.
The Calm Before the Storm
If you’re anything like me, you’re walking around on pins and needles today. Polls look good, but I am superstitious and won’t believe anything until the night is over.
I have lots to do today, luckily, but tomorrow I am getting up at 6 A.M., zipping over to my polling location, then leaving NYC by 8:30 to go GOTV in Lehigh Valley, PA (anyone going to be in Quakertown tomorrow?).
What are you doing these last two days?
Sarah Palin Pranked by Montreal Radio Hosts
Uh-oh. The Canada Press (the Canadian version of AP) reports:
MONTREAL — A Quebec comedy duo notorious for prank calls to celebrities and heads of state has reached Sarah Palin, convincing the Republican vice-presidential nominee she was speaking with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
In the interview, which lasts about six minutes, Palin and the pranksters discuss politics, pundits, and the dangers of hunting with current vice-president Dick Cheney.
The Masked Avengers, who have a regular show on Montreal radio station CKOI, intend to air the full interview on the eve of the U.S. elections.
McCain won’t be happy with this.
Sarah Palin and the Tsrif Tnemdnema
Shorter Sarah Palin: In order to preserve the First Amendment, the media should be prevented from criticizing government officials.
